Coming Up This Month: August 2017

Hello, everyone! As we start into this new month, I wanted to give a sneak peak into what's to come. This month is a great lineup of books including two five star books out of eight and three others that got scores of either four or four and a half. These books, for the most part, were chosen from randomly perusing the shelves at my local library and bookstore, pulling books that caught my eyes. I found great books this way, but inevitably, wound up with a few I didn't love. This helped me find books I'd never heard of before. Despite it being a leap of faith, it was fun to explore what the library had to offer. If you want to read, but don't have a book in mind, this is a great solution (or you could take inspiration from the articles here). Also, this month features many books with mental health themes executed very well.
As for fun things beyond reviews, there might be a short story or two I might be able to bring to all of you. I love sharing my stories and poetry, but it is difficult with not ruling out contest possibilities. As soon as I have something cleared, I'll be sure to post it under the writing tab. I also plan on expanding my collection of editorials listed under the Me tab. I have plans to write a few articles in the same vein of my last few on some of the issues with schools and the school systems.
Also, I want to address something new I'm doing with the reviews. Though there will be a few exceptions, articles that include five star books I will simply be classified with the Standout Book tag instead of getting their own articles. If you'd like to see a highlight real of five star book including articles, you can click the side bar and locate Standout Books under labels.
So, enough of that, here's the books coming up this month:

Week 20: My OCD Love Story by CoreyAnn Haydu and The View From The Top by Hilary Frank

Week 21: Crazy by Amy Reed and Firecracker by David Ireson

Week 22: Windfall by Jennifer E. Smith and The Whole Thing Together by Ann Brashares

Week 23: We All Looked Up by Tommy Wallach and The Great American Whatever by Tim Federle

I'm super excited to share these books with you this month. Looking forward farther into the school year, I have many books I'm super excited to share with all of you and many articles I plan to publish.  To get updates about when these articles are published you can follow us on Instagram (@readingwritingandme), Twitter (@readwriteandme), and Facebook.
