April 2020: A Month in Review

Image
It's the start of a new month, so I wanted to do a quick post to wrap up my reading for last month, my posting, and what to look forward to in this new month. I'm so excited about the posts I have planned, upcoming interviews, and continuing to come up with fun posts and new ways to share about books I loved. I read an incredibly high number of amazing books this month. Many of them have immediately joined the list of my all time favorite books and definitely at the top of the list of this year. I finally made my reading goal of finishing more books this month than in April in years before. I haven't managed to do that in over a year, so I was really excited to see that. I'm really glad that reading has become an escape for me again. (All titles are clickable, so if you missed the review or are interested, check out the post!) Taylor Swift's Reputation Meets YA

I'm so happy that you enjoyed my last Music Meets YA post, so I'm thinking I'll continue to post these with tons of new artists. If you missed the first one, check out Harry Style's Fine Line Meets YA.  Today, I'm pairing Taylor's sixth album, reputation, with a handful of my favorites reads. It's an album that really explored themes of coming back from hard situations and finding love when it feels impossible. She also comes to realize that perfect is impossible, which is a topic that comes up a lot in YA. I've tried to match some of my favorite books with songs off the album that share a similar theme or vibe. Are you a Taylor Swift fan? What do you think of these pairings? Do you have ideas for your own? Let me know your thoughts in the comments. Permanent Record ( Delicate) Pablo's life in Permanent Record  is full of uncertainty.
