Writing

I've always wanted to be a writer. When I was fourteen and launching this blog, I was already starting to write short stories and submit them to contests with the help of my eighth grade teacher. Things have progressed in the last nine years, and I'm now proud to say that I am a writer! I've had both short fiction and articles published across both print and digital literary journals and magazines. I credit this blog massively in getting me there. I've always read with a writer's lens, trying to figure out what makes the books tick. 

My interest in writing also informs how I talk to writers about their books. I always envisioned the blog as being a place that would help you find your next great read but could also be a resource for writers to learn more about craft from their favorite authors. To that end, I try to write posts about the various author events and craft talks I attend and also will jump at any opportunity to talk to an author about their work.
