Hello, everyone! So I wrote this post a really  long time ago and forgot I never posted it! I was looking for my review of The Fault In Our Stars  to link it to my Turtles All The Way Down  review (coming Wednesday) when I realized it didn't exist. Oops. Better late than never, I guess. I've explained below how this post is a bit different than my standard review, and I hope you all enjoy it! For this new series of posts (The Book and The Movie), I wanted to share my thoughts on YA books and their companion movies. I named it The Book and The Movie because I understand that these are two separate works of artistic expression that both have different strengths along with different needs. It is inevitable that because the craft is different the result will be different. By the same token, a movie has a promise to the viewer when its story is lended from a book (and often beloved ones at that). Weekly Reviews and Recommendations: Week 30 Part 1

Hello, everyone! So, as you probably all know, John Green's new book, Turtles All The Way Down  came out yesterday, and I could barely keep it together all day waiting for my copy to arrive. Between sacrificing sleep and reading in the extra time after the PSATs, I'm 30 pages out from finishing it! I can safely say that it is an amazing and important read that really spoke to me in a way few books have. I'll be posting a full review of that on Wednesday right before I go see John and Hank in Indianapolis on Thursday!
